SC State House Family Session
When I became a professional photographer I quickly learned that the photography industry was going to be very competitive! In an over saturated field and so many people having access to professional grade gear, your best friends can easily become your competition. It wasn’t until I became a member of Bokeh Babes Facebook group that my idea of competition shifted. In this group I have met the most genuine, kind and talented women photographers that South Carolina has to offer. Some of these women I would call my very close friends. There is a strong sense of community that has been built in this FB group that I never even knew could have existed with in the photography industry. In this group we lift up one another and help to make EVERYONE better. We follow the idea of “a rising tide lifts all ships.” We want to help everyone improve in their photography skills so that our industry grows together. We ask each other questions, have get togethers and even exchange services with one another.
This all leads me to my sweet friend Karly. Karly and I met through the Bokeh Babes group and I am so thankful for her friendship. She is sweet, kind and very talented! When Karly asked if I wanted to exchange services with her and get some updated family photos I immediately said yes! Karly, Tyler and their two fur babies were so much fun to photograph. Getting two pups to look at the camera at the same time wasn’t easy but Piper and Nala were pros! I hope that you enjoy some of my favorites from this SC State House Family session.
