Downtown Columbia Wedding
This was the smallest wedding that I have ever shot and I absolutely loved it! April and Frank contacted me with in two weeks of their wedding date and told me that they were going to be having a very small ceremony with only their immediate family attending. At first I wasn’t really sure what to think about this type of wedding because usually the type of clients I book have me there for 8 hours at a time and have at least 10 to 15 people in their bridal party. April told me that only about 15 people total would be attending! So this was very different from what I was used to, but I kind of feel like smaller weddings are my new favorite! Everyone was so welcoming when I arrived. I was first greeted at the church by April and her parents, who are from Minnesota, and we all went upstairs to the room where April was going to be getting ready. Usually when I arrive at weddings I am scrambling to gather all the bridal details including, the invitation suite, bridal jewelry, wedding dress, florals, veil, special sentimental items…etc. Well this was much different! April just nonchalontly handed me some of the jewelry she was going to be wearing that day as well as her dress and beautiful Badgley Mischka flats. These detail shots took me about 15 mins (which is a record) and they turned out beautiful! Next was the ceremony. It was short, sweet and to the point. After the ceremony family formals were nice and quick and because we didn’t have a bunch of people in their bridal party we were able to walk over to the state house grounds to capture some bride and groom portraits. April and Frank gave me 30 mins for their portraits and it was the perfect amount of time! After their portraits we all headed over to the Palmetto Club where they cut their cake and had dinner. I was so honored to capture this sweet couples wedding day and I can’t thank them enough to choosing me to be their wedding photographer. I hope that you enjoy viewing some of my favorites from this Downtown Columbia Wedding. Congrats April and Frank!!!!
