So, have you ever heard of the fighting Koala? No?! Well me either until I went to Columbia College. Honestly, I probably didn’t even know what my college mascot was until about Sophomore year because I had other things on my mind. Like the fact that I was actually in college and I was going to have to make friends from scratch and the classes I was about to take were going to be the most challenging classes I had ever taken in. my. life! I still remember walking on to campus freshman year! It was pretty intimidating! The fact that Columbia College was an all girls school was scary to me! I mean is it just me or is it hard to make friends in life as you get older?! I know this sounds crazy but as I was moving my stuff into my freshman dorm I was praying that the girls who lived around me would be normal, easy to talk to and maybe…just maybe new friends! It turns out that Amy and Hayley lived about two doors down from me freshman year and we all lived together pretty much the whole way through college. My college years were some of my most memorable and ugh some not so memorable…BUT the thing that I am most grateful for from college are the friendships! The girls that I met during my time at Columbia College are friends that I know I will have forever! We may not call, text or even email enough but with most of them we usually pick back up right where we left off! That is how it has been with Amy and I. I was honored when Amy asked me to be her wedding photographer and I am so happy that her an Corey are finally married and I can share with you her beautiful Columbia bridal portraits! We took these at the state house downtown and I think they turned out wonderful! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites!
